Kirstie's work is inspired by the wild hills and shores of the Highlands, in keeping with the northern romantic landscape tradition, yet her style of gradually building up layer upon layer evolves its own luminosity and depth.
Her masterful brushwork creates mists, sky, stormy clouds, water and sunlight above strong presences of mountain and rock.
