Colourist Artists: Charles Monteith Walker

Summer Solstice
Charles Monteith Walker
After travelling through Italy, Spain and Portugal in the mid-1990s, Charlie was inspired by the warmth of light and colour that the piazzas, churches and towns provided. This influenced him greatly and led to his own totally unique and unmistakable style.
Crafting his paintings like a sculptor, he builds the thick layers of undiluted, vibrantly coloured oil paints to form a distinctive image, in the true colourist style.
